Chairperson: Chief Lear, Chesterfield
Town Police (623-2419) co chair this Subcommittee.
Meeting:
The meetings are held on an as needed basis. Please contact
either of the co-chairs for the date, place, and time of the next
meeting.
Mission:
The mission of the Task Force is that community resources will work
together to assure quality services to promote healthy lives for
persons with children experiencing family violence. The vision
is to promote healthy lifestyles for all
individuals
exposed to family violence.
Activities:
The major objective for the Task Force is to be the policy level
group to address the community’s response to family violence.
Members of the group have signed a memorandum of Agreement.
Direct service level staff of each of the agencies participate in
the Response Team which also doubles as the Children’s Interagency
Treatment Team.
Families
that agree to participate with the Response Team benefit from a
coordinated, group approach to service delivery. This can save
time for both the family and service providers as the numerous
treatment plans are developed together and coordinated. This
is a method that can also hold the family and service providers
accountable for creating the best environment possible for the
children involved.
