The Chesterfield County Coordinating Council usually holds monthly meetings on the 3rd Friday of the month. These meetings start at 10:30 am and are usually over by 12 PM, and lunch is provided afterward. Everyone is welcome to attend. Check out the Meeting Schedule tab for complete information.
The June 16, 2017 meeting will be at St. Paul United Methodist Church, 300 West Main Street, Chesterfield.
The GLOBAL DISCUSSION will be provided by Arelis Moore de Peralta, MD, PhD, MPH, MEd., Assistant Professor, Department of Languages/Department of Youth, Family and Community Studies, Clemson University.
During the Global Discussion, she will discuss Community Engaged Research: What Is It & How Can It Be Used To Improve Our Community. The goal is to determine if the CCCC wants to work with her on a project.
Assuming this is a good fit, those individuals that would like to participate in determining the type of project should plan to stay after the CCCC meeting to brainstorm with Dr. Moore de Peralta. Be thinking about how we can address the systemic problems in our community, particularly building on the work being done in the Health, Youth Development, & Volunteer Committees.
Lunch will be provided by AMI Kids Camp Sandhills.
